I've always thought this idea of a blog to be rather strange - putting one's thoughts down for others to read. I don't particularly take notice of other people's opinions, certainly not random people, and I've never seen why they should take notice of mine.
I can the benefit of blogging if you are doing something specific and want to keep an online diary for others to read. Its almost like showing your holiday snaps and telling your holiday stories while you are still there and I have certainly enjoyed reading about my mate Chris and his mate Rav campaigning for Barack Obama in Tampa, Florida in the run up to next week's Presidential Election. I would personally be rather bemused if an American knocked on my door and asked me how I was going to vote but apparently Americans in general, or at least those in Florida, are more accommodating or at least more well mannered that I am.
Anyway, I digress.
I feel compelled to produce a blog for two reasons:
1. As it says in the title, "My wife won't listen to me." She is certainly not a bad wife despite the fact I tell her so constantly. I tend to have many opinions and express them in a rather loud and vociferous manner which generally leads to her switching off. I am therefore in need of a an outlet.
2. I find myself over the past few days constantly yelling at the television particularly during the news particularly in relation to the latest mess the BBC has got itself into re Brand and Ross and daft phone calls and also in bewilderment at how Arsenal could concede two goals in the last two minutes in the recent North London Derby.
My wife always tells me, when she is not really listening, that i should write so here it goes...

Have read both posts. Keep doing it. I don't agree with you 100% about Brand & Ross though I think you have a strong point. Above all, keep putting your thoughts out there. They will gain an audience if you keep it up.
How sad that this writing is born out of frustration with me! I am looking forward to some quiet evenings. xx
